POSTcard No. 58: Second Week of June 2025
Weekly update: Planning our content consumption plate, new outfits, and some needlepoint finishing!
Welcome to another weekly P.O.S.T.card from SF! We are chronicling what we are currently Planning (for either Postcard Row or our lives in general), what we are Ordering or Opening/unboxing, what we are Stitching, and what we are Thinking about or obsessing about.
Planning…
Isabella:
Outfits for the rest of the concerts I have this summer! Still on calendar: Backstreet Boys, Outside Lands, HAIM, Jonas Brothers… Hopefully Lady Gaga if I can get tix! I really want to get a good Millennium outfit for BSB. I also have to figure out what my Outside Lands vibe is going to be this year since we have tix to all 3 days!
Bridget:
How to get my husband to watch Wicked Part 1 with me this weekend!! Everyone around me on the plane was watching it to / from Brazil, and I really wanted to watch it again but my husband still hasn’t seen it so I’m trying to wait and watch with him (for a third time)! I mentioned it subtly…and now need to find a way to land the plane! Wish me luck!!
Postcard Row: Summer should be fun, and ours definitely has been full of activities! We have had to move some stitching things around but excited to stitch with many of you this summer!
Ordering/Opening…
Isabella:
I got one of the embroidered dresses from Sezane’s most recent collab! I love the styling here and I feel like I could easily recreate this lewk.
Bridget:
You know how I’ve been looking for shoes for work? I got some Rothy’s mules during their Memorial Day Sale! They’re basically boucle with a little buckle, and I’m very excited to bust them out! I also got a pair of their boat shoes, but they were weirdly very wide so going to have to return those and keeping looking for some more work-friendly options!
Stitching…
Isabella:
Designing needlepoint canvases sometimes makes it hard to stitch what I have in my very large stash of canvases that I’ve bought from other designers! This is also why I tend to work on so many things at a time… I’ve stitching some samples to hopefully have finished in time for Fall Market but also I’ve been buying a bunch of new canvases so I’ve been trying to pick back up through my stash. I’m finishing this Conservatory of Flowers canvas (from Needlepoint Inc.) into this self-finishing box I bought on Amazon!
Bridget:
I haven’t had any time to stitch this week 🫠 but I did get my mat board to finally finish my Oui,Chef! I’m loving this little area in my kitchen!!
Thinking about…
Isabella:
I’m actually obsessed with the show Ginny and Georgia. I imagine that it is a Canadian Netflix show (even though it’s supposed to be set in a suburb of Boston), because there are a lot of crossover actors with Workin’ Moms. Because it’s Canadian, I feel like it really “goes there,” similar to my beloved adolescent show Degrassi: The Next Generation (“Degrassi: it goes there” was a tagline for one season; “100% intense” was another tagline). I saw an article (didn’t read) that said the show is a way for milennials to understand Gen Z, and as someone who is constantly trying to understand Gen Z, it’s a perfect show for me! Maxine, one of the supporting characters on the show, is one of my favorite TV characters I’ve ever seen.
Bridget:
David Byrne! We got tickets to see him when he comes to SF in November, and I can’t freaking wait! We saw him on Broadway a few years ago and went to a re-release of Stop Making Sense in theaters last year, and I can’t wait to see him again! I love how he is still putting out new music and continues to crush it! Currently debating if I should get a huge suit for the show…
Until next week! Do you want to join in on the POSTcards? Comment below with any of your answers this week for any of the POST letters. As always, feel free to reach out to us with any questions and let us know what else you might want to see on this Substack.
xoxo,
